Subject: Re: [BlackTresses] My 9 y/o son's hair
Dear Arlissa,

I think you should absolutely mention it. It may take 100 years to get rid
of this discrimination against our natural hair, but each of us has to start
somewhere. I have been wearing my hair in braids since 1985 and I made a
point to wear them to every job interview since then (only 3). Each time I
got the job. If they cant accept that my hair has nothing to do with my
ability, then maybe that's not the job for me. I have to be true to myself.
Also pray over it. God will guide you in the direction that is right for you.

All my blessings
Wendy
